Elsevier launches Apps for Libraries challenge

Elsevier challenge calls for information discovery solutions ideas from librarians and information professionals.

Following on from its Apps for Science challenge, Elsevier has launched its Apps for Library Idea Challenge.

The competition encourages information professionals and librarians around the world to suggest solutions to the information discovery challenges that they, and their users, are facing.

Two winners will be announced in November 2011.  One winner will be selected by a panel of judges, while the second will be chosen by community vote.  Ideas can be published onto the Challenge website and the community can comment and discuss the suggestions.  Each winner will receive €750.  More information on the competition is available on the Apps for Library website.
