eBook treasures series enables download of rare manuscripts onto iPads.

The British Library's 'eBook Treasures' series enables the downloading of entire rare manuscripts by iPad users.

The first two titles released are Leonardo da Vinci's Codex Arundel and Geradus Mercator's 16^th century Atlas of Europe.

There are plans to release a further 75 titles over the next two years, including poet William Blake's notebook and the Tynedale Bible, dating from 1526.
