Springer has made more than 12,000 English-language books available online for review purposes.
In a new service designed for journalists, book reviewers and editors, users are granted temporary reading access for up to ten books at a time.
After registering to use the service, users can identify books of interest by browsing the subject pages for new titles, and then click through to either access the online book review copy or reserve a copy if the title is not yet published.
Users of the service can upload their reviews and, if the review meets Springer’s criteria, will receive a copy of the book reviewed.
