Helen Keller digital archive launched

Over 16,000 artefacts now accessible.

The American Foundation for the Blind (AFB) has launched the Helen Keller Archive comprising 160,000 artefacts dedicated to the life of Helen Keller.

Helen Keller is renowned as a humanitarian, author and activist who was critical in changing public perceptions of people with disabilities. At her death, Keller gifted her belongings to the American Foundation for the Blind and these items will be amongst those made available via the digitised archive.

The collection afb.org/HelenKellerArchive has been developed to be fully accessible to blind, deaf, hard of hearing, low vision and deafblind audiences.
