Germany: ISPs put to the test

Germans 'unimpressed' by Internet Service Providers.

The German Institute for Service Quality (Deutsches Institute fur Service-Qualitat - DISQ) has looked at the service offerings of 15 of the country's Internet Service Providers (ISPs).

Although there were some improvements over the 2012 findings, only one firm was ranked as 'very good'.

DISQ found wide price variations for the same service.  They also reported that unfriendly cancellation policies, regulations and lengthy contracts were the norm.

The best performing company was Kabel Deutschland which had one of cheaper rates and also offered the best customer service.
