New version of OpenAthens rolled out to NHS in England

New functionality allows library administrators to manage subscriptions cost effectively.

OpenAthens gives NHS staff in England single sign-on access to online medical resources and journals.

It allows users to access all centrally procured online information, including e-books and journals and bibliographic databases.  The new version provides improved user management and reporting tools to library administrators.

Eduserv, a not for profit IT services provider to the public sector in the, has been delivering OpenAthens to the NHS since 2003.

OpenAthens has over four million users worldwide including a large proportion of UK universities and other universities across the world, medical organisations worldwide and global corporate research organisations.
