New business model for new journal

The momentum behind open access is driving new research publishing models.

The new journal PeerJ is experimenting with a new business model by offering a one-off fee arrangement for authors.  This fee will provide authors with a lifetime membership, enabling them to publish their peer-reviewed articles for free.

The 'all you can publish' model aims to reduce the cost of research publishing by using open source platforms to streamline publishing processes.
