The north London newspaper library at Colindale has closed as part of a plan to move the collection to its new home in Boston Spa in Yorkshire.
The collection houses 750 million pages of newspapers and periodicals including local, regional and national newspapers. The new building will provide better environmental conditions to protect the collection. Access to 7 million pages of digitised newspapers will continue to be available via all of the Library’s reading rooms.
