Soutron Releases V3.3 with Features to Transform Library Efficiency

Soutron announces a major new release of its Library and Knowledge Management system.

Derbyshire  ()

Soutron announces a major new release of its Library and Knowledge Management system, the sixth new feature release of the UK's latest and most functionally rich LMS, which accelerates the pace of library system technology. The new release brings exciting new features across all areas of the application to significantly extend the range of functionality. This provides real time saving benefits and efficiencies that will be welcomed by all library system users seeking better and more cost effective ways to manage their information.

Soutron heralds an exciting new vision for corporate libraries, which is recognised by an increasing number of new sales in the UK and North America.

Graham Partridge, Library Systems Development Director for Soutron comments, "Our goal from day one has been to simplify and make finding and managing information easier. The improvements in processing serials and acquisitions and the new search functions are two examples within the release of greater accuracy, control and flexibility. We have also introduced more import and connector technologies. There is something for everyone and the new functionality to manage images is a real plus for librarians. By listening to individual needs and the market as a whole, we keep creating new ideas to exploit technology for our users.

The new release is available now and the ease of upgrading to the latest release is a major design goal that has been achieved. The simple upgrade process minimises the need for assistance from internal IT support for those who have the system installed in-house and retains all existing configuration changes.

"The business is in a strong position going forward and able to continue investment in the latest web technologies to provide not only a great product, but the very best software maintenance and support service to our clients. This release builds on a very solid technology foundation, which massively extends our solution." says Graham Beastall, Soutron's Founder.
