Bath, UK  ()

OpenAthens and Health Education England e-Learning for Healthcare (HEE e-LfH) have added the e-LfH Hub and its thousands of e-learning sessions to the list of OpenAthens resources, making it even easier for eligible members of the health and social care workforce to access HEE e-LfH’s e-learning.

This move provides streamlined access for holders of NHS OpenAthens accounts to use HEE e- LfH’s extensive range of award-winning resources to develop their skills and keep up to date with current best practices in healthcare.

Richard Osborn, HEE’s London Strategic Lead for Library Services and e-Learning commented: “We are pleased we have widened our audience and look forward to increasing the number of health and social care professionals and students who can benefit from the growing number of e-LfH programmes. We are delighted to be able to offer this additional route of access to e-LfH resources.”

Martin Sinclair, Programme Lead for HEE e-LfH said, “At e-Learning for Healthcare, we develop and deliver e-learning to the health and social care workforce. With the workforce being ever more diverse and fragmented, implementing OpenAthens makes it easier for us to reach more users and provide access to our award-winning content. We are delighted to announce that groups such as healthcare students, prison healthcare services, charities and private organisations, who deliver care on behalf of the NHS, can now access our library of e-learning materials for free.”

Jon Bentley, Commercial Director for OpenAthens, added: “We are delighted to be working with Health Education England to bring single sign-on access to the e-Learning for Healthcare Hub, enabling thousands of NHS OpenAthens users to easily access these important resources.”
