A new international political science journal from CUP

The European Political Science Association (EPSA) and Cambridge University Press have announced that they will be publishing a new peer-reviewed political science journal from 2013.

Cambridge  ()

The European Political Science Association (EPSA) and Cambridge University Press have announced that they will be publishing a new peer-reviewed political science journal from 2013.

The new journal of the EPSA, Political Science Research and Methods (PSRM) will be an international political science journal dedicated to publishing original scholarly work of the highest quality from all fields of political science.

PSRM will focus on political science research, as well as welcoming work at the intersection of that and other related disciplines such as economics and sociology. It will publish two issues in 2013, then three issues a year from 2014.

The editors of the journal are Professor Cameron Thies, Professor, Chair and Harlan E. McGregor Faculty Fellow of the Department of Political Science at the University of Iowa, and Professor Vera Troeger, Professor of Quantitative Political Science at the University of Warwick.

Professor Thies said: "There has been a marked increase in the productivity of political science scholars outside of North America and this has significantly increased the global geographic diversity of scientific articles available. The launch of this new journal means we are committed to promoting the publication of articles by this growing pool of globally diverse and highly skilled authors in the social sciences."

Professor Troeger added: "We are very excited about joining forces with Cambridge University Press as they share our vision for a new journal which promotes the rigorous scientific study of social, economic and political issues. We are delighted to be working with them on this new platform for this growing pool of international scholars who apply rigorous methods to empirical and theoretical problems in political science."

Patrick McCartan, Journals Publisher for Political Science at Cambridge University Press said: "It is a great honour to be working with EPSA - we are delighted to be launching PSRM which we are confident will be an important addition to our world-leading Political Science list."
