Speaking personally, I knew Cliff for many years. He spoke at Information Today conferences. I saw him frequently at IFLA WLIC meetings around the world. He was a beacon of light in a sometimes dark library world and was always enthusiatic about technology with a focus on how it could help libraries and the people who use them. Along with the rest of the Information Today family, I will miss him greatly.
