Wolters Kluwer Health has added AI Article Summary to the Ovid platform—helping researchers save time by using GenAI to quickly distill insights from peer-reviewed literature and create a concise, plain-language snapshot. The feature is currently available in Beta on a selection of LWW proprietary journals within the Ovid platform.
Ovid’s AI Article Summary tool highlights tactical and ready-to-use insights, as well as key, salient points most relevant to clinical decision-making. This distinction means users receive practical, applicable information quicker. Additionally, the AI generated summaries in Ovid are consistent in structure regardless of journal, making it easier for researchers to quickly distill information from different sources.This unique capability was built leveraging specialized prompt engineering to extract clinically and scientifically pertinent information effectively and reliably.
