Wales: cash for libraries

Welsh museums, libraries and archives to receive £2.2m.


£320,000 will be invested in online services at the National Library of Wales, including cross catalogue searching facilities and access to digital newspapers.

£1m will be used to modernise nine libraries around the country.

£76,000 will support Swansea University-based research into the history of steel and steelmaking.

Other beneficiaries include a mobile library service.
