CERT-UK tasked with ensuring UK is better prepared and more resilient.

The UK Government has officially launched CERT-UK – the UK’s national Computer Emergency Response Team.

CERT-UK will work closely with academia, government and industry and take the lead in coordinating the management of national cyber security incidents.  It will also act as the UK’s contact point for similar agencies around the globe.

Four main responsibilities:

  • national cyber security incident management
  • supporting critical national infrastructure companies in handling cyber security incidents
  • promoting cyber security awareness across industry, academia and the public sector
  • providing the single international point of contact for co-ordination and collaboration with other national CERTs
