UK: Librarian wins first novel competition

A librarian has won £10,000 at the Cheltenham Literature Festival.


Rebecca Pert, an academic librarian from Bristol, won the Cheltenham Literature Festival First Novel competition for her novel Goodbye Horses.

In additioan to the cash prize, Pert wins a book deal with Borough Press and representation by a literarary agency.

Pert works at the University of Bristol Library.
