UK: Feminist Library looks to crowdfund relocation

The Feminist Library has launched a crowdfunding campaign.

For 30 years London’s volunteer-run Feminist Library has been located in Westminster. However, redevelopment of the location means it needs to find – and fund – new premises.

The Library wants to move to new and larger premises in Peckham (hooray for south east London!).

The Crowdfunder campaign seeks to raise £30,000 to help move the collection, fit out the new premises and cover any legal costs associated with the relocation.

The library focuses on the Women's Liberation Movement literature that also supports related research, activist and community projects. Its collection features 7,000 books, 1,500 periodical titles from around the world, archives of feminist individuals and organisations as well as pamphlets, papers, posters, and ephemera.
