The National Library of Medicine and Wellcome partnership

Partnership has led to thousands of articles being made freely available.

The National Library of Medicine (NLM) and Wellcome have come together to provide free access to hundreds of years of medical research.

The agreement has seen thousands of full back issues of historically-significant biomedical journals being made freely available to reserachers, educators and students via the National Institutes of Health life sciences repository PubMed Central (PMC), and its European counterpart, Europe PMC.

In total, the collaboration has grown PMC by over 650,000 pages and tens of thousands of individual articles.

You can read more about the partnership between NLM and Wellcome on the NLM website.
