Safer Internet Day 2017

This year participants are asked to "be the change" for a better internet.

Safer Internet Day (SID) was launched in 2004 as a European Initiative.  It is now an international event, reaching over 60 million people worldwide.

SID promotes the safe and positive use of digital technology – particularly by children and young people.

This year’s events will take place on 7th February.  Participants are asked to "Be the change: Unite for a better internet". Activities planned include workshops, competitions, webinars and press conferences and topics considered will include fake news, cyberbullying and digital literacy.
