CAS, an advisory body to the French Prime Minister, has called for measures to help cope with the predicted major changes that e-books will bring to the French market.
CAS (Strategic Analysis Centre) worked with the National Book Centre (CNL) to recommend measures that will help develop ebooks in France. These include:
- A single e-book distribution platform
- Improved operability
- Attractive ebook pricing
- Strategies for booksellers combining 'bricks and mortar' and online sales
