Kenya to host International Open Data Conference 2020

Venue and theme for next conference announced.

The sixth International Open Data Conference (IODC) will be held in Kenya in 2020. It will be the first time the event has been hosted in Africa.

The International Open Data Conference (IODC) is a bi-annual gathering of Open Data champions from across a range of sectors. These open data champions come together to share, learn and collaborate.

The Government of Kenya won the bid based on its high-level support of open government and open data.

The theme of IODC 2020 will be “Bridging Data Communities”. Over 3,000 delegates form 100+ countries are expected to attend.

IODC 2018 has just taken place in Argentina. The final conference papers are available here
