Innovation in scholarly publishing - ALPSP award shortlist

ALPSP Innovation in Publishing award - shortlisted projects announced.


The Association of Learned and Professional Society Publishers (ALPSP) has revealed the shortlist for its Innovation in Publishing awards.

Nine initiatives in scholarly publishing have been shortlisted:

  • Bookmetrix, - Altmetric and Springer’s newly launched book metrics platform
  • CHORUS - the American Open Access service
  • eLife Lens - eLife's open-source reading tool
  • Impact Vizor - from Stanford University's electronic journal development and hosting service
  • JSTOR Daily - an online blog site tapping into the academic journals on JSTOR
  • Kudos – an online toolkit for researchers
  • Overleaf – an online platform for scientific writing
  • RightFind XML for Mining from the Copyright Clearance Center
  • Xvolution – an edutainment board game from Thailand's National Science and Technology Development Agency.

The winners will be announced at the ALPSP conference awards dinner in September.
