Gamification for San Francisco's commuters

A new app enables 'commuters' to drive at speed across - and even crash from - the Bay Bridge.


Traffic jams and ongoing delays due to infrastructure improvement are all part of the daily grind for people in many cities around the globe.  A shortage of up-to-date information or what often appears to be a lack of progress can only add to the frustrations of commuters.

San Francisco transit authorities are using 'gamification' to keep commuters apprised of the current status of the work to upgrade the Bay Bridge.

The free app, Bay Bridge Explorer, uses the latest 3D design to bring status updates to iPad and mobile users.
