France: Google copyright offer 'rejected'

Reports suggest Google's offer to settle French copyright dispute has been rejected.


The long-running dispute between Google and French news publishers is still not resolved.  A report in PaidContent suggests that Google's offer of €50 million a year to French news publishers has been rejected.

French publishers are thought to have asked for a figure of between €70 million to €100 million and changes to the proposed structure of the payments.
