Financial Times launches new Android app

The newspaper plans for continued growth in mobile access.


With mobile usage is already the biggest channel for its digital subscriptions, the Financial Times has launched a new version of its native Android app.  The app offers improved search and navigation and includes other features including automatic content updates and offline access.

The app is available from Android Market as well as the FT's own app portal.  It is free to download and the first eight stories per month are free, but subscribers will need to pay for full usage.
