Cultural digital library Europeana has launched a free iPad app - Europeana Open Culture - which features 350,000 images from six European institutions.
The app was developed during a Europeana hackathon. The content is curated around five broad themes:
- Images of the past
- Maps and plans
- Treasures of art
- Treasures of nature
- Treasures of the past
The images are free to use and share.
