Elsevier and data linking

Two-way linking of content between Elsevier and ICPSR.

ICPSR, based in the USA at the University of Michigan, is the world's largest archive of behavioural and social science research data.

The deal means that over 400 Elsevier journals will offer direct linking options to datasets held by ISPSR.  Researchers will be able to access underlying research data immediately while reading a research paper, while users of ICPSR’s datasets will be able to link directly to research articles via ScienceDirect.

Elsevier has collaborative links with over 50 data repositories.  Article data linking is a key aspect of encouraging research discovery.
