EBSCO Information Services releases UK & Ireland Points of View Reference Centre

The database will offer equitable perspectives on U.K. and Ireland current events.

EBSCO Information Services (EBSCO) introduced UK & Ireland Points of View Reference Centre,4  a full-text database covering a wide variety of issues and current events relevant to students in the U.K. and Ireland. It offers high-quality content that presents multiple sides of current issues to help students assess and craft persuasive arguments, better understand controversial topics, and develop critical thinking and debate skills.

UK & Ireland Points of View Reference Centre covers hundreds of current topics, each with an objective overview of the issue, along with point and counterpoint essays and a guide to critical analysis. Topics include Brexit, COVID-19, homelessness in the UK, political ideology in Northern Ireland and many more. The new database also offers Google integration, text-to-speech for HTML articles, a citation tool and supplementary research guides.

UK & Ireland Points of View Reference Centre is a valuable addition to EBSCO’s collection of research databases and is available via EBSCO Discovery Service and EBSCOhost.
