Nominations are welcomed for the 2018 Digital Preservation Awards.
There are five award categories:
- Research and Innovation – recognising excellence in practical research and innovation activities (£1000 prize and a trophy)
- Teaching and Communications - recognising excellence in outreach, training and advocacy (£1000 prize and a trophy)
- Most Distinguished Student Work in Digital Preservation- encouraging and recognising student work in digital preservation (prize includes attendance at an international conference, a trophy and a certificate)
- Safeguarding the Digital Legacy - celebrating the practical application of preservation tools to protect at-risk digital objects (£1000 cash prize and a trophy)
- Most Outstanding Digital Preservation Initiative in Commerce, Industry and the Third sector - encouraging and recognising the adoption of digital preservation tools and approaches in institutions which are not explicitly memory institutions (£1000 cash prize of £1000 and trophy)
There will also be a Fellowship award.
The award ceremony will be held in Amsterdam in November.
