Bloomsbury relaunches Cite Them Right

Bloomsbury Publishing, which acquired ABC-Clio and Libraries Unlimited in January 2022, has relaunched its Cite Them Right site.

The Cite Them Right   https://www.citethemrightonline.com/home      is an online platform designed to advise students about how to reference correctly across eight referencing styles. Based on the best-selling book, now in its 12th edition, by Richard Pears and Graham Shields, this programme is trusted by institutions globally, and accessed by thousands of students daily.

Unique in its range of referencing styles that can be accessed, including Chicago, Harvard, APA, IEEE, MLA, it also teaches the user how to reference just about any source. This platform contains useful articles and videos that help to guide students into common queries around referencing, including how to avoid plagiarism and understanding the differences between secondary and primary sources. The site has new navigation tools and dedicated landing page dedicated to individual referencing styles. It is supported by individual pathways and assessment for each referencing style within an accompanying tutorial.

The new site features:

  • Easier browsing and navigation within individual referencing styles
  • Supported by a new and improved tutorial experience
  • An improved browsing journey, complete with individual landing pages for each referencing system
  • Saveable searches and search history
  • The option to create a new personal account, which will allow users to manage personal preferences and bookmarks
