Bite-sized Taxonomy Boot Camp 2023 features a half-day of taxonomy guidance, strategies and advice

The next virtual Boot Camp is 22 March 2023

Speakers at the first Bite-sized Taxonomy Boot Camp  for 2023 include Fran Alexander, a Taxonomist & Information Architect from Canada who gives suggestions about explaining taxonomies and ontologies to those who have never worked with semantics. The title of her talk, “I don’t know what you mean!”, will resonate with many of us.

Erica Hornung, Associate, Insights & Analytics, Salt Flats, USA, asks “Are we even allowed to say that?” in her talk about normalising Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Accessibility metadata. In “Moving towards interorganisational taxonomy governance”, Thomas Bahr, Knowledge Management Officer, United Nations Climate Change, Germany, discusses the United Nations Climate Change taxonomy. Thomas Alexander, Taxonomy Manager for Cancer Research UK, reviews how the Cancer Research Design Team overhauled their SharePoint site, a major undertaking with lots of moving parts.
