France: Amazon free postage under fire

Culture minister Aurelie Filppetti has announced plans to introduce a law preventing Amazon from offering free delivery and discounts in France.

Booksellers in France claim the Amazon model, which offers free delivery, constitutes unfair competition as it threatens their business model and makes it impossible for bookstores to compete.
