Summer Reading Challenge 2019

The book collection for this year's Challenge has been revealed.

Inspired by the 50th anniversary of the moon landing, the theme of the 2019 Summer Reading Challenge is Space Chase.

The Summer Reading Challenge book collection comprises 71 titles for children aged 4-11.

Every title in the collection has been specially chosen by children and librarians to reflect key Space Chase themes including exploration, endeavour, imagination, creativity and friendship. All the titles will be available to borrow in libraries throughout the summer challenge.

There are two lists of titles – one aimed at younger readers aged 4-7 and another chosen for readers aged between eight and eleven. The list includes fiction, non-fiction and poetry, works from dyslexia-friendly publishers as well as graphic novels.
