Coronavirus: ProQuest announces changes in its ebook service

Over 50 publishers are participating in the initiative to allow unlimited numbers of users access to ebooks. The list is expected to grow.

ProQuest has announced that Ebook Central customers affected by COVID-19 will get unlimited access to all owned titles from over 50 publishers. This current deal will be in effect until mid-June.

All licenses – including single-user and three-user models – will automatically convert to unlimited access during this timeframe. This means that libraries will be able to better support distance learning and research.

No action is required by librarians to switch on unlimited access – this will be done automatically, and the transition will be seamless for users.
