Sue Hill Recruitment announces REC audit success

The Sue Hill Recruitment (SHR) team has been successful in its re-audit by the Recruitment and Employment Confederation (REC).

London  ()

Many things have changed since SHR's first audit was achieved in 2006 and it was reaffirming for the team to see that they have kept pace with change, kept up their high standards of recording accurately and also implemented and documented all of the new aspects of legislation and the codes that make for successful recruitment.

Whilst there are recruitment agencies out there that pay little attention to the exacting legislation the attitude at SHR is that as well as servicing the diverse client and candidate base with their unique recruitment offering it is important to make every effort to work within the law and also to abide by the REC Codes of Practice.

Sue Hill, MD, is delighted with the team's achievement and says, "The REC is the representative body for the UK's private recruitment and staffing industry. An REC audit means that:

  • We have had an independent audit scrutinising all of our recruitment processes,
  • We are fully compliant with the REC Code of Practice and adhere to relevant laws and professional standards and
  • We have shown that we work to world class standards and support our clients by demonstrating excellence."

She went on to say "We think these things matter.  If businesses use our service they need to know that as their recruitment partner we are working ethically and to high professional standards. This protects their brand and ensures they receive good quality, appropriate candidates.  Candidates too want to know that their personal information is being handled properly and that they are being represented in their search for work in the best possible way."
