Publishers worldwide opt for representation services

ACCUCOMS has signed agreements for sales representation with Akadémiai Kiadó in Latin America, the American Society of Nephrology in India, Baltzer Science Publishers in Europe and North America, and Kluwer Law International in Turkey.

Leiden, Netherlands  ()

ACCUCOMS has signed agreements for sales representation with Akadémiai Kiadó in Latin America, the American Society of Nephrology in India, Baltzer Science Publishers in Europe and North America, and Kluwer Law International in Turkey. ACCUCOMS now represents 31 publishers worldwide.

Over the past year, ACCUCOMS has expanded its portfolio with representation services in Turkey, India, the Middle East and North Africa. These regions complement the regions ACCUCOMS was already active in, namely Europe, North America and Latin America.

The number of publishers opting for representation services is increasing. The global economic downturn has drawn attention to the need for efficiency. Language- and region-specific interaction with customers has proven to be beneficial to both publishers and information specialists across the globe.

The American Society of Nephrology (ASN), located in Washington, DC, is represented by ACCUCOMS in five regions. “For a relatively small publisher like ASN, high-quality interaction between ASN and ACCUCOMS is vital,” said Bob Henkel, Associate Director of Publishing at ASN. “ACCUCOMS sales representatives know their business and have excellent working relationships with local librarians. This has led to excellent results for us in regions as varied as the USA, Europe, Latin America and India.”

“More and more publishers come to the realization that sales representation services help to increase efficiency and revenues,” said Pinar Erzin, Managing Director at ACCUCOMS. “Achieving fast and lasting results is crucial, especially in challenging economic times. Different publishers have different needs, which is why we always offer the choice between shared and dedicated representation, and between one or more regions of activity.”
