HARRASSOWITZ Accepting Applications for the 2013 Charleston Conference Scholarship

HARRASSOWITZ is now accepting applications for the 2013 Charleston Conference Scholarship.

HARRASSOWITZ, international booksellers and subscription agents, is pleased once again to offer a $1,000 scholarship to attend the Annual Charleston Conference that takes place November 6-9, 2013 in Charleston, SC. The scholarship is to be awarded to a librarian or paraprofessional who is currently working in a library and who has not yet attended a Charleston Conference.

In line with the 2013 Charleston Conference theme of "Too Much Is Not Enough!", applicants are asked to write an essay of no more than 1,000 words on the following topic:

            What does "Too Much Is Not Enough" mean to libraries and vendors? 

Essays should be sent to scholarship@harrassowitz.de by July 1, 2013 and should be accompanied by a one-page resume. HARRASSOWITZ will notify the winner of the scholarship on July 22, 2013. 

All applications will be acknowledged and will be reviewed by a panel of librarians. The scholarship must be used for the 2013 conference. Only applications from first-time Charleston attendees will be accepted.

All applicants will be notified of the results.
