Eurolis announces Italian Libraries Study Tour 2011

Eurolis is offering a fantastic opportunity to visit some of the most interesting libraries in Northern Italy between 18 - 23 September 2011.

The trip will include library visits to;

the lovely walled town of Castelfranco which will include a visit to the Museo Casa Giorgione, the Academic Theatre, the Cathedral and to a Palladio masterpiece, the Villa Maser;

the modernised Sala Borsa Library in the centre of Bologna with cutting edge multimedia and technology;

Trento to visit the historic Biblioteca Communale founded in 1725 now refurbished and providing new services to its communities;

Rovereto to visit the Library of the MART Centre for Contemporary Art which specialises in 19th and 20th Century art and includes the personal libraries of significant Italian artists, architects and art critics;

the National Marciana Library in Venice which has an incredible collection of incunabula, manuscripts and 16th century books in a beautiful building;

the 700 year old Library of the Querini Stampalia Foundation in Venice with extensive antiquarian and modern collections.

Accommodation for all 4 nights will be in the modern and very comfortable Hotel Roma in Castelfranco Veneto (if booked early) near Treviso and coaches provided for the daily excursions (except Venice when this is not required).

The full cost of the Study Tour, including 4 nights' accommodation, breakfast, and transportation but excluding food, flights and transfers is;

Lunches and dinners will be arranged by the Tour Organiser during the tour at the group's preference, allowing for choice but securing the lowest possible rates for group bookings.
