Wellcome Library to digitise historic mental health records

The Wellcome Library is partnering with a number of archives and hospitals to digitise over 800,000 pages of archival material from UK psychiatric hospitals.  The documents date from the 18^th to the 20^th centuries and will include case notes, photographs, art works and registers.

The digitisation work is expected to take two years to complete.
