UK publishing reports rapid growth in digital sales

The Publishers Association annual Yearbook shows UK digital sales accounted for 6% of all 2010 sales.


The UK Publishers Association (PA) has published its Yearbook which shows that for the third year running consumer digital sales in the UK experienced treble digit growth.  In 2010, consumer ebook sales were worth £16m. 

When other sectors were included (e.g. academic and professional) the total UK digital sales figure for 2010 was £120m.  Academic and professsional digital sales accounted for a 29% growth in 2010, with total sales of £84m.
