Antiquarian books valued at up to £2million have been taken in a raid on a west London warehouse.
The thieves bypassed security systems by abseiling into a London warehouse. Items reported lost include works by Galileo, Isaac Newton and Leonardo da Vinci. The most valuable work is said to be a 1566 edition of Copernicus’s De Revolutionibus Orbium Coelestium worth over £200,000.
The Metropolitan Police are asking the public for any information.
