The London Library and the Bloomsbury Institute form partnership

The London Library is co-creating a series of events with the Bloomsbury Institute.

The events have been designed to "embrace the strengths of the Library's one-million-strong lending collection and the excellence of Bloomsbury's publishing".

Forthcoming events feature Diane Atkinson’s history of the fight for women’s suffrage; Mohammed Hanif’s novel Red Birds and Agnes Poirier’s book about the Art of the Parisian Left Bank.

The London Library is a members' library that was founded by Thomas Carlyle and has been open for 175 years.  Past members of the Library include Charles Dickens, George Eliot and Virginia Woolf.

The new events are open to non-members.
