Springer buys into Polish web portal

German publisher plans to become a leading digital player.

Springer, the German multimedia and publishing company, has entered into an agreement with partners to own 75% of Poland's Onet.pl.

The web portal Onet.pl is the sixth most visited site in Poland.

The news comes after Springer purchased the UK recruitment site TotalJobs and is another move in the company's moves to become a key digital player.
