Social login – Facebook leads the way

Facebook continues to dominate the social login market.

Social logins make it easier for users to access sites and apps without having to remember multiple passwords.  Latest figures from Gigya show that almost two thirds (64%) of all social logins are happening via Facebook.  This is a slight decrease (down from 66%) since the last figures were issued during the last quarter.

  • Google+ was used in 22% of social authentication – the only other network responsible for more than a 10% market share in social login.
  • Twitter has a 6% market share, followed by Yahoo (4%).
  • Facebook’s share fell to 62% in north America but remained at 74% in Europe.
