Having removed its best friends feature earlier this year, Snapchat has introduced a set of six emojis which aim to explain the nature of user relationships.
The emojis, which appear after the names of friends, include a face with sunglasses and a fire emoji.
Thankfully, BBC's Newsbeat (a service aimed at children) has provided an explanation for the new emojis.
Snapchat has also released a low light camera mode.
