Russia: National Digital Library

Russia's Minister of Culture has announced plans to launch a Russian National Digital Library in 2015.

The aim is to help local libraries offer users wireless internet access as well as making a large collection of e-books, texts and magazines available.

The Minister set out a vision of local libraries being transformed into information and cultural hubs.
