LinkedIn sues 'competitor bots'

Bots are being used to scrape user profile details.

Lawyers acting on behalf of the professional social network have filed a lawsuit in the US.

Bots have been used to create fake profiles which are then interacting with real users to access and scrape their profiles. LinkedIn says the data is to be used to create competitor products.

Don't accept an invitation to connect from someone you don’t know on LinkedIn!
