The number of UK Higher Education transnational education students has increased by 81% over the last decade. This growth presents opportunities for universities – but also brings some challenges. A key challenge is how to meet the demand for seamless connectivity between overseas and home sites.
Jisc has launched two new services to assist. The first, Global Connect, provides students and staff with reliable connectivity. It is already been successfully used to link UK institutions with branch campuses in Malaysia and Malta.
The second, Global Partnership, provides advice and guidance to optimise connectivity and integrate IT operations across global sites.
