Italy: calls to rush cyberbullying law

Twelve year old's attempted suicide brings issue to forefront.

Italian politicians have already approved a bill that criminalises cyberbullying but the law is not yet in place.

However the news that a 12 year old girl has attempted suicide following a cyberbullying campaign has been met with calls to rush the legislation.   The proposed legislation will see schools playing a major role in educating children about the harm of cyberbullying and in providing support to vulnerable pupils.
