Springer and the Université Joseph Fourier have released SciDetect. This open source software helps the scientific and publishing communities check for fake scientific papers.
There are a number of fake paper generators in existence, includng Mathgen, Physgen and SCIgen.
SciDetect can be used to find text that has been created by these paper-generating sites.
The new, open source software is publically available for free to the scientific and publishing communities
